WARNING: Regarding the coating of Red Dots and other electronics like lights or lasers, please note that we cannot assume liability as the cost of a binocular does not justify the processing costs. All parts must be sandblasted before the Cerakote coating is applied, and it is not excluded that a fine grain of sand might find its way into a movable gap (e.g., ballistic turret) despite all precautions and later cause a “scratching” when adjusting.
Furthermore, sensitive parts are baked at 60 °C in the hardening oven. Normally, every binocular can withstand this temperature (e.g., when exposed to direct sunlight over a longer period), however, it cannot be ruled out that this may cause damage (especially in scopes with electronic components). We have never had such problems before, but we expressly point out that the possibility exists and we only perform these services after risk acceptance by the customer!
The lens, all moving parts (such as buttons and adjustmentscrews), and related markings are taped off before coating and cannot be coated.
The original coating remains on all taped areas.
